Casey Anthony’s First Night Out

July 7, 2011

It had been a long few years for Casey Anthony, but the trial was finally over, her sentence for lying had been served, and she was ready to go out and celebrate.

Casey and a few members of her defense team hit a prominent night club and ordered drinks, getting themselves ready to dance.  The night club crowd, however, was a judgmental bunch who would not respect the jury’s verdict, so they steered clear of the acquitted former mother and her entourage.

The club’s DJ was also a close minded soul who did not appreciate how a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, so he began playing songs that he thought might cause a bit of introspection, tunes like The Greatest Love of All, Cat’s in the Cradle, Forever Young, Teach Your Children, Sweet Child of Mine, Butterfly Kisses, and You Are the Sunshine of My Life.

As the night club’s DJ played the songs, Casey sat at her table, tapping her fingers, looking agitated.  Finally, she got up, and she and her entourage headed for the exit.

“I’m never going to that club again,” a defense attorney said, angry.  “That song selection was inexcusably offensive.”

“Yeah,” Casey agreed.  “You can’t dance to any of the songs they play.”

AAArrrgh!  This was lame, even by my standards.  This is what happens when you try to participate in one of those “write 100 posts in 100 days” challenges.  Don’t do it!  Let this lame joke be your warning!
