Nice Things for free on Amazon!!

August 5, 2015
This kind of opportunity doesn't happen very often.

For free?   This kind of opportunity doesn’t happen very often.

Everybody likes nice things.  Nice things are better than mediocre things or bad things.  The problem with nice things, though, is that they usually cost a lot of money.  Sometimes you can get nice things on discount, but it’s not very often that you can get nice things for free.

Today is that day.

Right now Nice Things is free on Amazon.  I can give it away for free only for a couple days, so if you don’t want to pay for it, you might want to get it soon.

I’ve been working on Nice Things for a while but haven’t been talking about it much.  I thought that if I talked about it, that might keep me from working on it, so I figured it was better if I just wrote the darn thing and didn’t tell anybody until I actually clicked “publish.”

It has its flaws, and I’m aware of some of them.  I’m sure there are some typos and missing words and things that don’t make sense, but hopefully my fool for an editor corrected most of the mistakes.  If not, I’m going to feel kind of stupid.

I had a lot of fun writing Nice Things, but I’ve read it so many times I have no idea how good it is or how much it sucks.  I’m also a little nervous because some of what I wrote could be taken the wrong way.  That’s why it might be a good idea for you to get it free.  But if you miss this chance, don’t worry.  When it’s no longer free, you’ll still be able to get Nice Things for cheap on Amazon.

*****

What about you?  Have you ever spent so much time writing something that you no longer trusted your judgement?  What is the worst mistake you’ve left in your writing?

*****

It might be good.  It might suck.  Either way, for the next couple days, it’s free!

I have downloaded my copy of Nice Things! I’ll let you know how I liked it. Even my book, Bound by Life, is FREE on Kindle today. I’d love if you take a look at my book too 🙂

Thank you, but I need to read more slowly and then process. At first, I thought your book title was FREE, and I couldn’t find it on Amazon.

Bound by Life is a much better title than Life. When I typed in the correct title, I found your book. Thanks again!

I finished your book a while ago – I am not a fast reader as well (at least not these days as I am trying to put up with a bunch of serious classics), but your book was just so fun and engaging that I finished it in a few hours. The language is simple and clean and there weren’t any distracting typos (I think I only found a small one in the ending chapter). I have left a small review on Amazon.

I wish you success with your book. Keep up the good work! Maybe one of these days you might do an interview for my blog?

I dunno. I kinda like mediocre things. Mediocrity is kind of nice, in it’s own way. 😉

I do it all the times. I leave words out of my poems at times and find them after I read it a few times. It doesn’t bother me though, just means I had passion when I wrote it. Passion is a good thing to use when writing. If we write without passion how can anyone know we are serious?

I like the way you think. Having passion while you’re writing is a great reason why mistakes happen, but at the same time, it doesn’t sound like a lame excuse.

Done and dusted – or more like downloaded and read 🙂 Would you prefer a review here or on Amazon?

It would probably be better on Amazon (for potential readers).

I really appreciate you taking the time to read Nice Things and commenting/reviewing. I know there’s a lot of other stuff out there to read and review, so… Thank you!!

I left a review. Hope it’s acceptable for you. I did enjoy your read, even if it isn’t my usual fare. I do appreciate your writing style, but that should be apparent in the fact that I follow your blog. Look forward to more of your posts!

      “Hope it’s acceptable for you.”-

Actually, I’m thrilled with reviews. It means a lot to me that you (and other people) read what I write and then leave thoughtful comments, especially for something like Nice Things. Thank you!

I was reading it on my kindle earlier this evening. So far so good.

I finished reading your book,”Nice Things”. I did enjoy it. I read it like it was a true to life story. So I was not liking some of the choices “you” made. I was like, why did he do that? Oh,he should not have really done that. Some of “your wife’s” behavior and decisions made me do the same thing. I guess you could say I got caught up in the lives of these characters. When I finished, the one thought I kept having was, the wife is going to know all now she can just read the book. You can’t buy all the copies yourself. 🙂

You’re right, that there’s more story to tell. I’m not sure yet if it’s going to be on the blog like “The Literary Girlfriend” or an ebook like Nice Things or both.

Thank you for reading Nice Things and commenting. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Cool. I’m going to read this. I admire your ability to keep your work secret prior to the reveal.
